CERTIFICATIONS
At Rebés Tejidos,
we strive to ensure that our raw materials are as sustainable as possible
That’s why our production processes are designed to be environmentally responsible, and we ensure that the materials we use are certified to guarantee their origin and sustainability.
How do we obtain
safe fabrics?
GOTS Certification
The GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certificate is the world’s leading benchmark in the processing of 100% organic fibres, establishing demanding ecological and socio-economic criteria.
This certification guarantees the complete traceability of our production chain, from the origin of the fibre to the final manufacture of the garment. In this way, we guarantee production without harmful chemicals and sustainable cultivation that cares for the soil and the environment.
OCS Certification
The Organic Content Standard (OCS) is a voluntary international standard that certifies the use of organic inputs, ensuring that raw materials are tracked from their origin to the final product.
With this certification, we guarantee that our fabrics contain between 5% and 100% organic material, the maximum established by OCS, offering transparency and confidence throughout the process.
GRS Certification
The Global Recycled Standard (GRS) certification is a voluntary international standard that guarantees the use of recycled materials in textiles and compliance with socially and environmentally responsible practices.
Through GRS, we implement strict chemical restrictions and sustainable production criteria. In addition, we ensure that our fabrics contain at least 20% GRS-certified recycled material, contributing to a more circular and conscious industry.
REGENAGRI Certification
Regenagri is a regenerative agriculture programme that preserves soil health, protects biodiversity and reduces GHG emissions.
This certification endorses our commitment to soil regeneration at every stage of our production, ensuring responsible practices that promote a more balanced and sustainable ecosystem for present and future generations.
BCI Certification
The Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) is a global non-profit organisation that sets and manages Better Cotton standards.
Its system of standards promotes a sustainable and comprehensive approach, ensuring fair conditions for producers, environmental preservation and a sustainable future for the cotton industry.
EUROPEAN FLAX
Certification
European Flax certification, regulated by the CELC (European Confederation of Flax and Hemp), is the only European agro-industrial seal that guarantees traceability and sustainability throughout the entire flax and hemp production and processing chain.
Our work is committed to this certification, which is why we use European fibres, ensuring quality, lower environmental impact and a significant reduction in our carbon footprint.
ECOVERO BY LENZING
Certification
EcoVero by Lenzing™ viscose is produced from sustainable sources of certified wood. Compared to conventional viscose, it reduces emissions and water consumption by 50%, ensuring 100% traceability in its production. In addition, its purified cellulose-based composition gives it a feel similar to silk and cotton.
We are certified as a Product Manufacturer of EcoVero by Lenzing™, offering sustainably certified viscose fabrics.
TENCEL
Over the years, we have specialised in natural fibres such as Tencel™, linen, hemp and recycled cotton, whose cultivation and manufacturing processes comply with the standards of more responsible fashion and reduce our environmental impact.
OEKO-TEX
Certification
El certificado STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® es la etiqueta ecológica más utilizada en el mundo para garantizar que los productos textiles no contengan sustancias que podrían ser perjudiciales para la salud.
We have the Class
I – Baby certificate, which is the most restrictive classification of all.
AENOR
Certification
AENOR certifies compliance. It is the entity that guarantees that our company, products and services meet the highest standards of quality, sustainability, safety and social responsibility, in a responsible and competitive manner.
Its certificates are a recognised guarantee in Spain and many other countries.
SEAQUAL
Certification
The SEAQUAL initiative brings together individuals, organisations and companies to clean up the oceans and raise awareness about plastic pollution. Marine plastic collected in Europe, the Mediterranean and the west coast of Africa is sorted, cleaned and transformed in Europe into SEAQUAL certified yarn, which is then used in textiles containing at least 20% of this recycled yarn.
SORONA
Certification
Sorona is a synthetic fibre from DuPont made partly from renewable materials such as corn. It is more sustainable than other synthetic fibres, as it reduces energy consumption and emissions by using natural resources instead of petroleum. It is also soft, elastic, durable and wrinkle-resistant, making it an eco-friendly choice for more responsible fashion.
G.O.T.S organic cotton, SEAQUAL recycled polyester from the seabed, ECOVERO sustainable viscose, and EUROPEAN FLAX linen have become our most valuable raw materials and best allies.
With the support of the Agència de Residus de Catalunya (ARC), TEJIDOS REBÉS, SL. has received funding from the ARC to carry out the “NEW SUSTAINABLE FABRICS PROJECT”, as part of its programme of grants for projects promoting the circular economy. TES/3340/2020.
While our R&D team works on developing innovative advancements, all our staff constantly strive to acquire new knowledge and skills that can be integrated into our daily activities.
